Continuing on with my nature theme, here are the results of several very enjoyable walks through Burleigh Heads National Park, on Australia’s Gold Coast.
Eastern Water Dragon (Physignathus lesueurii lesueurii) (plenty more pics in the gallery)
Brahminy Kite (Haliastur indus)
The first of several lucky visits to or from a colourful, tiny Red Backed Fairy Wren (Malurus melanocephalus)
Red Backed Fairy Wren (Malurus melanocephalus) checks out Disci the Photographer
Alternate Processing: “Chocolate Sepia” – Either a female, ‘eclipse’ or juvenile Red Backed Fairy Wren (Malurus melanocephalus) (plenty of pics in the gallery)
Typically idyllic day on Australia’s Southern Gold Coast
Laughing Kookaburra (Dacelo novaeguineae)
A very cute Silvereye (Zosterops lateralis) apparently feeding(?) on a white cotton-like material in this tree’s leaves
If you look closely you might just make out the white material in the beak of this Silvereye (Zosterops lateralis)
To close on a ‘meditative note’ – Spotted Turtle Dove (Streptopelia chinensis) looking like it’s saying a prayer 🙂
Here’s my Smugmug photo gallery on these nice visits to magnificent Burleigh Heads National Park.
Thanks so much for looking.
